DHS: 943 new COVID-19 cases, seven more deaths

The Department of Health Services on Thursday reported 943 more positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, bringing the total to 63,206.

There were seven additional deaths reported, for a total of 1,018.

DHS officials also reported 11,472 negative tests. Combined with the new positive cases, there were 12,415 more people tested, for a total of 1,098,401.

Out of the tests reported, 7.6 percent were positive.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 775. The seven-day positivity rate is 6.9 percent.

According to the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 354 total COVID-19 patients, a single-day decrease of 33, as of Thursday afternoon. There were 109 in intensive care units, a single-day decline of four.
