The Alliance CEO Cheryl DeMars will retire next year.

DeMars joined the Madison-based coalition of self-insured employers in 1992. She became CEO in 2006.

“The Alliance is at the forefront of transformative, employer-led change in healthcare,” she said in a Thursday statement. “We have accomplished a lot, but there is much more work to do to make healthcare work better for everyone — those that receive care, those who pay for care and those who are responsible for its delivery.”

Quartz has named Christine Senty its permanent CEO. She’s led the health insurer on an interim basis since April.

“In her interim capacity, Christine kept Quartz moving in the right direction and ensured stability while positioning the company for continued smart growth,” Quartz Board Chair Bill Farrell said in a Tuesday statement. “She thoroughly understands the business and has excellent relationships with all of Quartz’s provider owners.”

Senty previously served as vice president, general counsel and secretary at Quartz.

She’s also worked at Dean Health Plan and Midwest Security Life Insurance Company in Onalaska.
