GOP gubernatorial candidates vow to uphold 1849 abortion law, fire county officials who won’t enforce it

Three of the candidates seeking the Republican nod to take on Gov. Tony Evers in the fall said Monday night they support the state’s 173-year-old ban on abortion in most cases and, if elected, would fire county district attorneys who don’t enforce it.
