Eau Claire, WI – On May 8, HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital presented the 2015 Nurse Exemplar Award to Lindsey Thoma, a registered nurse in the hospital’s rehabilitation department.
The peer-nominated award is Sacred Heart Hospital’s highest nursing honor and recognizes an extraordinary nurse who exhibits excellence in caring for patients and families, provides personalized patient care, and has a superior level of knowledge and skill.
“Lindsay is a wonderful role model for leadership and professionalism,” said Amy Dwyer, RN, MSN, Chief Nursing Officer at Sacred Heart Hospital. “She is a strong patient advocate. From the moment a patient enters rehabilitation to the time of discharge, Lindsey ensures her patients are well cared for and have a safe discharge plan and follow-up care in place.”
