WHEFA: $204,800,000 bond financing helps ProHealth Care, Inc. expand in Pewaukee and Mukwonago and refinance in New Berlin
Bond financing facilitated by WHEFA will be used to help ProHealth Care finance costs associated with the construction and equipping of a 160,000-square-foot cancer center and multi-specialty clinic in Pewaukee, and the construction and equipping of a 66,000-square-foot expansion of an outpatient center in Mukwonago to add emergency services. Proceeds also were used to refinance bonds issued by WHEFA in 2005 on behalf of National Regency, Inc. in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This federally tax exempt financing process has enabled the borrower to operate more effectively by financing its capital expenses at a lower cost.
ProHealth Care is the sole corporate member of Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Inc., Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Inc. and National Regency. Waukesha Memorial Hospital owns and operates an acute care hospital located on a 23-acre campus in the City of Waukesha with 265 staffed beds. Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital owns and operates an acute care hospital on an 18.5 acre campus in Oconomowoc with 58 staffed beds. National Regency owns and operates assisted and independent living facilities in Waukesha County and a medical office building located adjacent to Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
WHEFA is proud to have been able to assist ProHealth Care by reducing its overall debt service and allowing it to grow and compete by providing access to low cost private capital.
